In order to investigate patients with vertigo, dizziness, imbalance, hearing loss and tinnitus we often need to perform tests of inner ear function:
 

• vestibular function tests (assessing the balance organ of the ear) and;
• audiology (assessing the cochlea, or hearing organ)
