This is also called an audiogram.
You will sit in a quiet booth on a comfortable chair, with headphones on your head. Our audiologist will play soft sounds from low-pitched to high-pitched sounds, and you will tell her when you can hear the sounds. If you can’t hear the very soft sounds, she will gradually turn up the volume, until you can just hear them. 

This test gives valuable information about the cochlea of the inner ear. It is also very useful to compare this result to any previous audiograms you might have had, to determine if there has been any change in your hearing.
